Turnaround for Children is a rapidly-growing organization with a powerful, innovative approach for dramatic improvement of low-performing, high-poverty public schools. Turnaround has designed a targeted intervention, based in science, to mitigate the impact of traumatic stress on behavior and learning. In each partner school, Turnaround creates a student support system that provides expedited access to quality mental health services for the highest-need students, trains teachers in strategies to build safe, supportive and productive classrooms, and prepares leaders to develop and execute a schoolwide improvement plan.

Over the past 12 years, Turnaround has grown from an idea to an organization with a $15.2 million budget and 60 employees. Currently, Turnaround partners with 15 schools in New York City, Newark, New Jersey and Washington, D.C., serving over 7,000 students and 700 teachers.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. Turnaround for Children offers excellent benefits and a flexible work environment. Turnaround is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer: Minorities/Women/U.S. Veterans/Persons with Disabilities.
