What book has influenced you most?
I vividly remember reading “Hiroshima” by John Hersey in high school. In addition to being an incredible work of journalism, it represented to me the first time I learned to investigate and question the narratives that dominated history books and current events. That critical lens is something I have brought with me throughout my career in journalism and in nonprofit communications.
What motivates you?
I am motivated by both the transformational potential of education and the realization that our current system is not equitable.
