Pamela Cantor M.D. and Elizabeth Miller of Turnaround for Children Guest Lecture at Harvard Graduate School of Education

Turnaround for Children Founder and Senior Science Advisor, Pamela Cantor, M.D. and Content Design Specialist, Elizabeth Miller, were guest lecturers for Todd Rose‘s “Individuality and Personalization in Education” class at Harvard Graduate School of Education.

During the lecture, Dr. Cantor led students through the science of learning and development, focusing on how context–the environments, relationships and experiences children are exposed to–influences development. She also discussed some of the key findings of the Science of Learning and Development Alliance and shared an excerpt from an upcoming paper she co-authored on whole-child development.

Miller walked students through the Turnaround for Children Toolbox, and shared examples of toolkits that can enable educators to catalyze healthy whole-child development and academic achievement for every student. The session was followed by a lively question and answer session with Rose and his students.
