Pamela Cantor, M.D., at Grantmakers for Education 2022 Annual Conference

Turnaround for Children Founder and Senior Science Advisor, Pamela Cantor M.D., participated in a plenary at the Grantmakers for Education 2022 Annual Conference, held from Oct. 18-20, 2022 in Austin, Texas. The theme for the conference was “Igniting Hope in a Time of Recovery,” with sessions focused on catalyzing innovation, supporting systemic change, and rethinking practices in education that have led to inequitable outcomes, both before and during the pandemic. The conference consisted of plenaries, workshops, and learning sessions for members and education funders.

Dr. Cantor was a featured speaker in the concluding plenary, “Igniting Hope for the Future of Education,” on the final day of the conference, with along with Jim Shelton of Blue Meridian Partners and Bob Hughes from The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The group shared visions for building an education system that can serve all of tomorrow’s learners and their hopes for the future of education.
