Pamela Cantor, M.D. Cited in Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint Blog

Turnaround for Children Founder and Senior Science Advisor, Pamela Cantor, M.D., was recently cited in a blog by the Alliance Against Seclusion and Restraint titled, ”Regulation before Education.

Guest blogger Jennifer Abbanat covers current educational plans for distance learning in the wake of COVID-19 school shutdowns, and how those plans fall short in meeting the need for supporting students’ social and mental well-being. The author emphasizes that in order to achieve better academic outcomes, teachers and parents need to build and nurture strong emotional relationships with their students. Cantor is quoted in support of the link between relationships and academic success.
