Pamela Cantor, M.D. Speaks at AFT Professional Learning Session on Educator Health and Well-Being
Turnaround for Children Founder and Senior Science Advisor, Pamela Cantor M.D., spoke at a virtual professional learning session on educator health and well-being hosted by the American Federation of Teachers (AFT).
Cantor was joined by AFT President Randi Weingarten, National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) CEO Ronn Nozoe, Education Week reporter Arianna Prothero, Boston Teachers Union member Thomas Boyd-Foster and student “changemaker” Victoria Ren. The session began with a panel discussion where the group discussed how to better support the emotional, mental and physical well-being of educators. The panel was followed by breakout sessions that included tips and strategies for having difficult conversations, dealing with burnout, practicing mindfulness and self-reflection.
