Turnaround Partners on Reimagine and Rebuild: Restarting School with Equity at the Center

Turnaround for Children joins a coalition of 39 education, research and community organizations to partner on the brief Reimagine and Rebuild: Restarting School with Equity at the Center.

Developed by Californians for Justice, The Education Trust – West, and Policy Analysis for California Education, the brief serves as a plan for a restorative restart for California Public Schools in the wake of COVID-19. It outlines steps school districts and schools can take to rebuild and recover to meet and support the social-emotional and academic needs of students and lay the groundwork for long-term systemic transformation.

Reimagine and Rebuild highlights a set of restorative practices and strategies that closely align with Turnaround’s approach to Whole-Child Design, including centering relationships among students, families, and educators and addressing the comprehensive needs of children.
