Michael Lamb Speaks at Philanthropy Roundtable National Forum
Turnaround for Children’s Michael Lamb was a speaker at Philanthropy Roundtable’s 2019 National Forum on K-12 Philanthropy in Denver, CO.
Lamb was joined by Andy Keller, President and CEO, Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute; Mike Malkemes, Founder and CEO, Generation One; and moderator Jennifer Paradis Behle, Chief Executive, Chappell Culpeper Foundation for a breakout session titled “Reaching the Struggling Student: Mental Health at Systemic and Classroom Levels.”
The session explored “how educators can establish school culture, professional development and classroom-level protocols that work towards improved mental health, and how funders and educators alike can be responsive with mental health interventions that enable students to reach their full potential in later life.”
The science of the brain is clear: every child’s brain develops, and every child can learn. Any disparities are all because of us. Mike Lamb @Turnaround #mentalhealth #k12 #K12Forum
