Turnaround for Children Participates in CASEL SEL Exchange Webinar

Turnaround for Children Vice President of Partner Impact, Amy Nicholson, participated in a CASEL Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Exchange 2020 webinar on February 27.

Nicholson joined Education Counsel’s Joaquin Tamayo, Learning Policy Institute’s Jennifer DePaoli and Affinity Schools’ Carloyne Quintana (former principal of Bronxdale High School) for the expert panel presented by the Science of Learning and Development Alliance.

During the discussion, the panelists shared critical insights from the science of learning and development and its implications for practice and policy. Quintana also shared how she used principles from the science of learning and development to lead a schoolwide turnaround effort at Bronxdale High School.

The webinar was attended by state, district and school leaders as well as other education practitioners from across the country.
