Pamela Cantor, M.D. Participates in Readiness Projects Panel
Turnaround for Children Founder and Senior Science Advisor Pamela Cantor, M.D. participated in the panel discussion, “The Accountability Conundrum Facing Educational Equity Advocates,” hosted by the Forum for Youth Investment‘s Readiness Projects.
The last installment of the “Making the Invisible Visible” discussion series, this panel explored community equity accountability, ensuring young people have the proper supports to learn and thrive. Dr. Cantor was joined by Hedy Chang of Attendance Works, Bethany Little of Education Counsel, Hal Smith of the National Urban League, David Osher of American Institutes for Research, Ross Weiner of The Aspen Institute, and moderator Karen Pittman of the Forum for Youth Investment (Pittman is also a member of Turnaround’s Board of Directors).
The group discussed how to use current learning disruptions to engage and empower school and community leaders so that they build forward together, and how to work with families to optimize learning and development in 2021.
