Turnaround for Children Founder and Senior Science Advisor Pamela Cantor, M.D. joined the conversation, “The Future of Education: The Goals and Scope of the PreK-12 Curriculum,” hosted by Grantmakers for Education.
The conversation centered around creating a truly equitable public schooling system and what overarching goals and curriculum would serve that purpose. Cantor was joined by Ferguson-Florrissant School District Superintendent, Dr. Joe Davis; Northwestern University Professor Emerita of Education, Dr. Carol Lee; and Judy Wurtzel, Senior Director, Education Grantmaking, at Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies. The group discussed the most consequential goals of public education, who public education aims to serve, and what sort of curriculum would best serve the public good.
