Turnaround Signs On to SoLD Alliance COVID Recovery Letter

Turnaround for Children recently joined 50 other organizations to sign onto the letter, “Charting a Path to COVID Recovery for All Young People,” created by the SoLD Alliance.

The letter outlines the priorities essential to a successful and inclusive pandemic recovery for all young people, footed in findings from the science of learning and development. The top priorities outlined include:

• Committing to adopting a shared mindset that the pathway to accelerated recovery is many years long and is not linear
• Provide educators and state and local leaders across the nation with the best information we have from existing evidence from the science of learning and development and continuously improve that information over time
• Focus on redesigning and aligning our schools and other learning environments so that they are able to support student recovery and accelerate learning and development.

Other signees include Learning Policy Institute, The Education Trust, City Year, American Institute for Research and more.
