A Trusted Space Film Features Pamela Cantor, M.D.
On September 22, national nonprofit All It Takes released the film A Trusted Space: Redirecting Grief to Growth. The 45-minute docu-training film aims to help educators mitigate the effects of grief, trauma and emotional stressors facing students as they head back to school amidst the uncertainty of COVID-19. The curriculum included in the film and the accompanying toolkit is research-based and helps teachers understand the complex emotions students are facing, and how to redirect those feelings into growth by providing a safe, emotional environment for learning.
Turnaround for Children Founder & Senior Science Advisor Pamela Cantor, M.D. is featured as a consulting expert in the film. She is joined by other thought leaders, including Alan Arkatov, Linda Darling-Hammond, Ed.D., Mary Helen Immordino-Yang, Ed.D, Marcellina Melvin, MA, LPC, and Dr. Pedro A. Noguera.
The film and toolkit is available for free to all teachers and school districts nationwide. View the film here.
