NYSED Cites COVID-19 Education Coalition Recommendations for District Leaders in Reopening Guidance
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) cited the COVID-19 Education Coalition recommendations for district leaders in its reopening guidance: Recovering, Rebuilding, and Renewing: The Spirit of New York’s Schools.
The NYSED guidance presents a framework to guide schools and school districts as they continue to plan for school reopening in fall. The guidance also recommends best practices leaders should consider for remote, in-person and hybrid learning.
Turnaround for Children collaborated with fellow members of the COVID-19 Education Coalition to publish recommendations for school district leaders for ensuring effective and equitable digital learning for all students. The Coalition’s recommendations are referenced under “Technology and Connectivity” in the NYSED school guidance document.
