Race to the Top-District Action Brief and Guidance
Turnaround for Children and the American Institutes for Research (AIR) have written two white papers to support districts who are applying for the Race to the Top – District (RTTD) competition.
The Race to the Top-District (RTTD) competition presents an important opportunity for school districts to design and implement personalized models of teaching and learning that can deepen and accelerate college and career readiness. To leverage RTTD, districts must begin with a clear vision and high quality plan for establishing the “foundational conditions” to create personalized learning environments, including a plan to measure the implementation of and impact of those conditions.
The two white papers that follow serve as step-by-step guides for establishing these foundational conditions and for using a specific set of metrics to measure their effectiveness and impact.
