Turnaround for Children Joins Learning Forward Webinar On Supporting Students in Stressful Times

Turnaround for Children Vice President of Partner Impact, Amy Nicholson, presented at the Learning Forward webinar Supporting Students in Stressful Times.

Nicholson joined a panel of experts which included David Adams, Director of Social-Emotional Learning at The Urban Assembly and Jessy Newman, Senior Researcher, American Institutes for Research, to discuss how educators can stay connected with students and help them navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the webinar, participants learned why social and emotional supports are particularly important at this time; strategies for connecting with students and promoting their well-being during remote learning; resilience; and other considerations for supporting students during a time of crisis.
