Turnaround Presents at Afterschool Alliance Webinar

Turnaround for Children Founder and Senior Science Advisor, Pamela Cantor M.D., and President and CEO, Brigid Ahern, presented at a webinar hosted by Afterschool Alliance, in partnership with American Institutes for Research and the Forum for Youth Investment.

“Caring for Children and Youth in Crisis” is the first in a series of three webinars focused on the importance of afterschool programs in ensuring equity, addressing adverse childhood experiences, and creating healing-centered environments. Joined by Karen Pittman, Kent Pekel and Nikki Yamashiro, the group discussed the effects of adversity on brain development and offered practical, research-based tools and strategies to promote healing.
