Turnaround Presents at DC Public Charter School Board Webinar on COVID-19

Turnaround for Children Partnership Director, Dawn Foreman, presented at a DC Public Charter School Board webinar on “Addressing the Social Emotional Needs of Students and Staff Through Covid19.”

Foreman joined experts from Transcend and the MedStar Georgetown Wellbeing in School Environments Center to share research and strategies to support social-emotional health during this challenging time for teachers and students alike.

During her talk, Foreman explained the science of adversity and how to minimize its impact on learning. She also shared the New Three Rs (relationships, routines and resilience) that educators can prioritize to support and teach their students today and when schools re-open.
