Throughout LPI’s webinar series, “Transforming State Education Policy Through a Whole-Child Approach,” participants explore the various elements of whole-child policy and share insights from policymakers engaged in efforts to bring whole-child approaches to schools and classrooms.

In the third installment of this series, Dr. Cantor was joined by state leaders and fellow education experts to discuss the actions states can take to create safe, inclusive, relationship-centered learning environments based on the science of learning and development. Speakers included Teri Lawler, Education Associate, Delaware Department of Education; Lakeisha Steele, Vice President of Policy, CASEL; and Gwen Perea Warniment, Director, Legislative Education Study Committee, New Mexico Legislature. The group discussed the essential approaches to developing whole-child environments and shared lessons from years in the field.
