MenSa Ankh Maa Speaks at DCPS Anti-Racist Educator University

Turnaround for Children Partnership Director, MenSa Ankh Maa, spoke at DC Public Schools‘ Anti-Racist Educator University.

The talk, “SEL as a Catalyst for Anti-Racism,” explored social and emotional learning in education, how SEL and science can be used as tools for anti-racism, and practical strategies and tools educators can use in their efforts. The talk was open to all DCPS staff members and followed professional learning community sessions for further learning.

Anti-Racist Educator University provides DCPS staff with shared learning experiences rooted in anti-racism. The program offers teachings from guest speakers, professional learning communities and credentialing opportunities for educators.
