Pamela Cantor, M.D. Interviewed by America’s Promise Alliance

Turnaround for Children Founder and Senior Science Advisor, Pamela Cantor, M.D. took part in an interview with America’s Promise Alliance. The interview has been released as part of a series og short videos with education leaders as part of the Growing the Whole Child Movement.

In Transforming Learning Environments (above), Dr. Cantor discusses using the science of learning and development to better design learning environments that enhance educators’ abilities to form strong relationships with their students and support successful learning.

In Embracing Young People For All of Who They Are, Cantor expresses the importance of context and the impact of school settings in how young people learn and develop. “If we design them to nurture the health and the learning of children, what we are going to see is children who discover their talent, build their skills and discover their potential.”

The interview was conducted in conjunction with the event “Growing the Whole Child Movement: A Year After A Nation At Hope,” which Dr. Cantor presented at in 2020.
